In a non PPR league, I don't do this trade. In non-PPR leagues, running backs score far more than tight ends or wide receivers. The drop-off from Antonio Gates to Kellen Winslow or Dustin Keller is not as substantial as the drop-off from Darren McFadden to Donnie Avery.

Antonio Gates

85 receptions (irrelevant in non PPR)
1000 yards (he's only reached 1000 once)
8 touchdowns

= 98 points (not including bonus points)

Kellen Winslow or Dustin Keller

60 catches
700 yards
5 touchdowns

= 65 points (not including bonus points)

Darren McFadden

244 carries
1073 yards
7 touchdowns
43 catches
400 yards
1 touchdown

= 121 points (not including bonus points)

Donnie Avery
62 catches
750 yards
6 touchdowns

= 73.5 points

And I consider those projections for McFadden to be conservative....and I think the projections for Antonio Gates are a bit too high.
Good way to look at it...Thx.

I actually would do it if and only if he substituted Avery with Gonzo.

With that said. Having Keller and Winslow you should be fine at TE. Don't see the need to trade away yor RB3 for a WR4. You can trade Beanie or Brown to add an extra body at WR if you so desire.

Yea, that's what I'm trying to do now...but value isn't very high in this league I'm in on the two rooks right now...hopefully they go apeshi* on game and I can sell high.
