...yea, I'm against this to say the least. This is not a revamp...it's a complete overhaul of the keeper rules. We're already facing enough issues employing these rules in the baseball league.

Basically I trade my first two draft picks for a chance to improve my awful keepers.

I'm cool with this.

This is my reloading year after the craptastic team I had last year.

This is true. But it should be smoother here since we're familiar with the issues that could arise .
While I support your idea, crzy, if there's any degree of resistance I think we should keep things the way that they are. I respect how 4ML built his team and I'm not trying to cockblock him. IMO, this needs to be supported by 9 or 10 of the owners for there to be a change in the keeper rules.

...but those issues will always be there. Harden will cost 6th round pick this year, and then 3rd round pick next year - but if you've traded 3rd round pick then you've to give up 2nd round pick. It also makes trading the 1st round pick impossible, because you can not trade it to get a top player because to keep him you'll need to have the 1st round pick...etc. Trading for players and picks is such a mess and a nuisance. It's completely unnecessary.

Fair enough. I just wanted there to be more of a rotation of keeper players, but you're right...it's more difficult to pull off.
This is what, our 7th year for this league? It seems like a big change for such a long, established league... on the other hand, a change like this could be refreshing, and would add to the depth of strategy.

I'm split on the issue.

I'm all for it...I say we do it now!
We've been around for 7 years and have had 6 different owners reach the championship game with only 3 different owners ever winning it all.

Parody could be lacking...we need a hard cap and more aid to the smaller market teams.

This...it's a bit Rediculous for the small market guys who have to trade away their only talent and more to get anything in return....the rich get richer in this league

I think it would suffice if for every win LA got by a margin greater than 5-4, that my team receives the additional points above that 5-4 threshold. So if he wins 7-2, then in reality, he won 5-2 and I would gain those 2 extra points in the standings. Every large market team will be attached to a small market team in the same way LA and my team will be. I think that would be one small step in the right direction. Commissioner, if you could give me your approval on this, we should start implementation as soon as possible. After-all, the season is on the horizon...

Me?!??!? It's 4ML that's destroying us. He's the one that's won 2 1/2 championships in the last 4 years, not me.
