The San Francisco 49ers have a busy week ahead of them thanks to the daunting task of identifying and then trying to lure both a new head coach and general manager. The team is interested in a number of individuals, which you can keep track of using our up to date general manager and head coach tracker.

It is the first time that the organization is trying to fill both spots since 2005 when the 49ers hired Mike Nolan and then Scot McCloughan.

The search and interview process will be led by 49ers CEO Jed York and Chief Strategy Officer & Executive Vice President of Football Operations Paraag Marathe.

"Ultimately, the decision will rest with me," York said on Monday of the hiring process. "I will look at people inside the building and continue to consult people outside of the building, folks that I trust, folks that are very well respected.
