As the San Francisco 49ers and new head coach Chip Kelly work to put together the team's coaching staff for the 2016 season, we'll update the names of the coaches that the team is reportedly interested in or reportedly contacted, interviewed, or acquired for each position. Please note that these are simply the reported candidates by various media sources and that nothing is official until the 49ers themselves make the announcement.

The latest is that the 49ers have hired Jim O'Neil for their vacant defensive coordinator position and former Dolphins RBs coach Jeff Nixon to coach tight ends. These moves fill the major pieces of Kelly's coaching staff.
