The 49ers released defensive end Matthew Judon from the practice squad on Saturday.

The move made room for defensive end Ogbo Okoronkwo to return to the practice squad. The 49ers cut Okoronkwo from the active roster on Friday to activate Mykel Williams from the reserve/PUP list on Saturday.

The 49ers signed Judon to the practice squad on Sept. 28, and they elevated him to the active roster for last Sunday's game against the Broncos. He totaled one tackle on 14 defensive snaps.

Judon played 14 games for two teams last season.

He became a free agent in January when the Bills cut him, and he did not sign anywhere until the 49ers signed him to their practice squad.
