The entire 2026 NFL regular-season schedule will be announced on Thursday at 5 p.m. PT.
The league previously announced the 49ers’ regular-season opener will take place Thursday, Sept. 10, at 5:35 p.m. PT against the Rams.
The 49ers-Rams game will be played at Melbourne Cricket Ground. It will replace the game that would have been played on the Rams’ home field, SoFi Stadium in Inglewood.
The 49ers are giving up a home game for the trip to Mexico City.
