The San Francisco 49ers continue to make adjustments to their offseason roster, signing undrafted free agent linebacker Larry Worth III to a three-year deal after the defender participated in the team's rookie minicamp last week.
To make room on the roster, the 49ers released linebacker Milo Eifler.
Worth (6-4, 226) spent the past two seasons at Arkansas (2024-25) after beginning his collegiate career at Jacksonville State (2022-23). Across four college seasons, the linebacker appeared in 47 games with 21 starts, totaling 201 tackles, 10 tackles for loss, six passes defensed, three forced fumbles, and one interception, according to the 49ers Communications staff.
In 2025, Worth appeared in 12 games for the Razorbacks with 11 starts, recording 64 tackles, one pass defensed, and 0.5 tackles for a loss. The previous season, he tallied 54 tackles, two passes defensed, 1.5 tackles for loss, one forced fumble, and 0.5 sack in 13 games (five starts).
Before transferring to Arkansas, Worth showed flashes as an impact defender at Jacksonville State. In 2023, he registered 63 tackles, six tackles for loss, three sacks, one interception, two passes defensed, and one forced fumble while appearing in 13 games (five starts). He added 20 tackles and two tackles for loss in nine games during the 2022 season.
Worth joins a revamped 49ers linebacker group that saw the return of Dre Greenlaw after a one-year stint with the Denver Broncos and the departure of Dee Winters. The rookie will likely compete for a role on special teams and potentially provide depth during training camp.
Eifler (6-2, 225) originally signed a reserve/future contract with the 49ers on January 7, 2026.
