The 49ers addressed their shortage of wide receivers at the outset of the NFL’s free-agent signing period.And, now, they have made another move to add to their list of potential pass-catchers for quarterback Brock Purdy.The 49ers on Friday selected wide receiver De’Zhaun Stribling of Ole Miss in the second round with the No. 33 overall pick.The 49ers traded back twice Thursday in the first round to end up with their top selection coming at the beginning of the second round.The selection of Stribling was unexpected, but it fits the style of play that coach Kyle Shanahan favors. The 49ers picked him over Denzel Boston of Washington.Stribling (6-foot-2, 207 pounds) is coming off strong seasons at Oklahoma State and Ole Miss. He began his college career at Washington State.In 2024 at Oklahoma State, Stribling caught 52 passes for 882 yards and six touchdowns.
