49ers elevate veteran OT from practice squad with Trent Williams questionable

The 49ers on Saturday elevated veteran offensive tackle Brandon Parker from the practice squad to be available for backup duty in the crucial regular-season finale against the Seattle Seahawks.Parker’s availability appears to signal that 12-time Pro Bowl left tackle Trent Williams will not be available for the game due to a right hamstring injury.Austen Pleasants is in line to make his first NFL start in place of Williams, whom the 49ers listed as questionable for the game. Parker is a six-year pro with 33 career starts, all with the Raiders. He is likely to serve as the backup at both the left and right tackle positions.Also, the 49ers elevated veteran linebacker Eric Kendricks from the practice squad for the third game in a row.
