SANTA CLARA — The 49ers might have lost 30-9 to the Denver Broncos in the preseason opener at Levi’s Stadium, but their PFF grades show there still were several standout performances.San Francisco sat most of its starters, but still managed to get out to a 9-0 lead against the Broncos’ first team. Several 49ers rookies and newer free-agent additions saw a lot of time on the field, and coach Kyle Shanahan remarked on the resulting inconsistent play.“I liked how we started out, but after that there wasn’t much to be excited about,” Shanahan said. “We didn’t get many first downs. Four turnovers, the three picks, the fumble. I felt when we did make a play, whether the quarterback did, then the receiver was off.
