How 49ers’ top draft pick Mykel Williams already is impressing Trent Williams

SANTA CLARA — Before being drafted by the 49ers, Mykel Williams never sought advice from an offensive lineman. But much like star 49ers edge rusher Nick Bosa, the 2025 first-round pick’s bonding with Trent Williams already has begun.“Mykel is a huge dude, man,” Trent Williams said of the rookie on Thursday. “You generally don’t see guys that size on the edge. It sucks having to base block guys whose arms are long as your legs, but I think he has a chance to be a really good player in the NFL.”The linemen spent part of the offseason together in Cabo San Lucas, after the rookie asked the future Pro Football Hall of Famer if he could borrow his private jet for transportation.
