The San Francisco 49ers are preparing for their Week 12 contest against the New Orleans Saints on Sunday at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, California.

Wide receiver Deebo Samuel was limited this week due to a hamstring injury, putting his availability against the Saints into doubt. The 49ers have listed Samuel as "questionable" for Sunday. Head coach Kyle Shanahan noted that the wideout's current injury is unrelated to the previous hamstring injury from earlier in the season.

Defensive lineman Arik Armstead returned to practice on Friday, the final session of the week. Jordan Schultz of The Score first reported Armstead's return but also stated that the 49ers would rule out the veteran defender for this weekend's game. While that wasn't the case, San Francisco did list Armstead as "doubtful." The defensive lineman has not played since Week 4 due to foot and ankle injuries.

Defensive end Samson Ebukam (quadricep, Achilles) did not appear on the injury report, meaning the 49ers have cleared him to play.

Below are the official injury reports for the 49ers and Saints, provided by the 49ers Communications staff. Also included are Friday's practice participation reports.

By David Bonilla

Amidst swirling trade rumors surrounding Brandon Aiyuk, the speculation surrounding Deebo Samuel's future with the San Francisco 49ers seems to have quieted down. According to Michael Silver of the San Francisco Chronicle, the 49ers have assured Samuel that he will not be involved in any pre- or post-draft transactions, ensuring his place on the roster for the time being. "Samuel, who signed a three-year, $71.55 million extension before the 2022 season, has been assured by his bosses that he will not be dealt during or after the draft," Silver reported, citing a source familiar with the discussions. With the 2024 NFL Draft less than a week away, it's common for the rumor mill to start churning, especially with players who are actively seeking a new contract. It was just two short years ago that WR Deebo Samuel requested a trade from the San Francisco 49ers prior to draft day, only for cooler heads to prevail and eventually agree to a new deal. Now, it's WR Brandon Aiyuk's turn to try and get paid and rumors surfaced over the weekend that he too would request to be dealt. While that report was quickly shot down by his agent, there's still a lot of discussion about Aiyuk's future and if other teams will come calling on draft night. 49ers' Fred Warner addresses Armstead's departure, Greenlaw's recovery, Super Bowl window

By David Bonilla

The news of Arik Armstead's departure from the San Francisco 49ers after nine seasons with the team shocked linebacker Fred Warner. Armstead, a former first-round pick, was an impactful force on the football field. However, his availability over the last two seasons forced the 49ers to reevaluate his contract, and when his salary could not be significantly reduced, the two sides parted ways. "Huge surprise," Warner said of learning that Armstead was being released. "Ever since I've been here, we called him the blueprint for how to be a Niner. That was the longest-tenured Niner that's been here and a guy that's done it right through and through." Warner has been in the NFL long enough to understand how the league works. Over the years, he's watched several

Brandon Aiyuk's agent denies report of Steelers 'aggressively pursuing' the 49ers receiver

By David Bonilla

On Wednesday, Chat Sports contributor Chase Senior reported that the Pittsburgh Steelers were "aggressively pursuing" San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk. He further stated that the Steelers are confident they can finalize a deal for the star player. REPORTS: The Pittsburgh Steelers are aggressively pursuing a Brandon Aiyuk trade and the Steelers would be "surprised" if they don't land Aiyuk. Of note: Pittsburgh has the 20th overall pick. The Niners could look at that as equal value for Aiyuk if they can't get a deal done.…
