Giants reportedly naming a GM today; 49ers assistant GM Adam Peters a finalist

The New York Giants have been a whirlwind of a franchise, last making the playoffs in 2016, and going 22-59 during that time span. In addition, they've churned through three head coaches in that time period with Bob McAdoo, Pat Shurmur, and Joe Judge, while keeping GM Dave Gettleman, who's struggled to identify top-tier talent in the draft, and has made questionable free agent decisions, which is why Judge was fired this offseason, and Gettleman "retired", just like Tom Coughlin a few years back. San Francisco 49ers assistant general manager Adam Peters, whose identified talent consistently over the past few years in the draft, is a finalist for New York's GM opening, having completed a second interview yesterday afternoon. It looks like the San Francisco 49ers might be able to hold onto assistant general manager Adam Peters for a little longer. He was a finalist in the New York Giants' hunt for a new general manager, and it looks like the NFC East team is going in a different direction. The Giants are reportedly hiring Buffalo Bills assistant general manager Joe Schoen to be their next general manager, per NFL Media's Ian Rapoport and Mike Garafolo. Peters interviews twice for the job—once on Monday and again on

Williams was seen using crutches after Saturday night's game against the Green Bay Packers, putting his status for next weekend's NFC Championship Game into question. "We're going to have to get some X-rays and stuff on him," head coach Kyle Shanahan said after the 49ers' 13-10 victory. "I mean, I saw him hobbling around the whole second half, so I'm not sure yet." Williams got his right ankle wrapped after looking to be in pain in the third quarter. He stayed in the game but was later seen limping off the field. Williams played 53 of

49ers-Cowboys: Everyone stepped up after Nick Bosa's injury, says D.J. Jones and Arik Armstead

It was hard to see San Francisco 49ers pass rusher Nick Bosa down on the field late in the first half of Sunday's playoff game against the Dallas Cowboys. Everyone, including the fans, knows how much the young defensive end means to the 49ers defense. After the team lost Bosa early last season, the pass rush never really got going. Bosa was ruled out with a head injury and will likely enter the concussion protocol this week, ahead of the 49ers' next playoff game—a Divisional Round matchup against the Green Bay Packers. "We were thinking of him, and I'm happy that he'll be OK, and it's not too serious," defensive lineman Arik Armstead said after Sunday's game. "Obviously, we can't wait to get him back. He's a force for us, and I love playing alongside
