John Lynch names 3 teams set to interview Robert Saleh, while pair of 49ers execs in for GM jobs
We all knew it was a matter of time for Robert Saleh. For the better part of the last two years, it's been abundantly clear that his time in Santa Clara would only be limited by the whims of NFL owners and executives. To be fair, those whims are just those: unpredictable.

ESPN's NFL experts answered some offseason-related questions, including identifying some "sneaky-good" free agents and predicting a destination for disgruntled Houston Texans quarterback Deshaun Watson.
Two San Francisco 49ers impending free agents were labeled as "sneaky-good" players that NFL teams should covet once the bidding wars kick off next month. That is assuming neither is re-signed before then.

This week, Bryan DeArdo of CBS Sports went through the task of naming the greatest win for each NFL franchise. The pick for the San Francisco 49ers shouldn't come as a surprise. It featured an iconic play that launched a dynasty — The Catch.
"Trailing by six points, the 49ers needed to travel 89 yards in less than five minutes against Dallas' 'Doomsday' defense," DeArdo said in his recount of the 1981 NFC Championship Game, which was played on January 10, 1982. "Instead of looking for the big play, the 49ers relied on several

Jason La Canfora of CBS Sports first reported Wilson's growing discontent, naming several potential trade destinations.
"[Wilson and Carroll] have made the playoffs every season but one, won a Super Bowl and lost another,"

The veteran cornerback will hit free agency next month, and the Niners will move forward without him. The team has a reduced salary-cap to deal with and several tough decisions to make, making Sherman set to become a cap casualty.
Cris Collinsworth recently asked Sherman what that conversation with general manager John Lynch was like. The defender says there is no animosity between the two sides. Sherman, who acts as his own agent and is part of the NFLPA executive committee, understands professional football's business side. That is allowing the two sides to part amicably.
"Honestly, it was fantastic. It was business-like," Sherman told
