10 49ers training camp practices will be open to the public

The San Francisco 49ers announced today that 10 training camp practices at the SAP Performance Facility in Santa Clara – the team's training facility adjacent to Levi's Stadium – will be open to the public. The following are the dates for those open practices.

- Friday, July 27
- Saturday, July 28
- Sunday, July 29
- Tuesday, July 31
- Wednesday, August 1
- Thursday, August 2
- Monday, August 6
- Tuesday, August 7
- Sunday, August 12
Fans can begin
registering for mobile-only tickets, which will be made available on a first-come, first-serve basis, to the open practices starting today at 4:00 p.m. Each ticket will cost $5 with all of the money being donated to the 49ers Foundation, the team-run charity which works to educate and empower Bay Area youth.
"Coach (Kyle) Shanahan, (general manager) John Lynch, the entire staff, the players, the coaches, they have been fantastic to us since they've been here," said 49ers president Al Guido at the
State of the Franchise event in May. "They've given all of you (the fans) access to what I call our backyard. We are going to continue that for, basically, every practice. I say 'basically every' because we're going on the road to practice against another team and we can't take you all there. But while we're in our backyard, we will open it to our season ticket members and fans."
In addition to watching team practices, fans will be able to purchase donated equipment room apparel with the proceeds also going toward the 49ers Foundation.
"Fans will be able to bring sealed water bottles, thermos bottles and food," announced the 49ers. "All items are subject to a security screen."
This is the first time in years that the 49ers have made more than one practice available to fans. The team held an open practice at Levi's Stadium in 2017 and at Kezar Stadium in San Francisco in 2016.

Brock Purdy hopes to organize throwing session ahead of 49ers training camp
The San Francisco 49ers will hold a mandatory minicamp from June 4 through 6, officially concluding the team's offseason program. After that, the Niners will break for over a month and return to the Santa Clara facilities for training camp in late July.
Between that time, starting quarterbacks will often organize throwing sessions with their receivers in an effort to build chemistry ahead of the rigors of training camp. 49ers quarterback Brock Purdy has been unable to participate in such sessions over the last two years. The last overall draft pick in 2022, Purdy had yet to make a name for himself during his first offseason. Last year, he was still recovering from offseason surgery on his throwing arm.

The San Francisco 49ers announced the signing of wide receiver Trent Taylor to a one-year deal, reuniting with the team's former fifth-round draft pick out of Louisiana Tech.
Matt Maiocco of NBC Sports Bay Area was the first to report that the 49ers were discussing a potential reunion with Taylor. The receiver was part of head coach Kyle Shanahan and general manager John Lynch's first draft class in 2017 and spent his first four NFL seasons with the team.

Draft Watch: Western Kentucky WR Malachi Corley visiting 49ers on Wednesday
The San Francisco 49ers are hosting several draft prospects this week as the deadline for pre-draft visits draws near. According to Aaron Wilson of KPRC2, the team will host former Western Kentucky wide receiver Malachi Corley on Wednesday.
Corley is expected to be a Day 2 pick. San Francisco owns two selections on Day 2—the No. 63 overall pick in the second round and the No. 94 overall pick in the third round. Currently, the receiver is visiting with the Seattle Seahawks.

Rapoport: 49ers send clear message to teams inquiring about Brandon Aiyuk
Ian Rapoport didn't offer much of an update on the ongoing contract negotiations between the San Francisco 49ers and their standout wide receiver, Brandon Aiyuk. However, the NFL insider emphasized one thing: The team is not entertaining trade discussions at this juncture.
