Last week, the 49ers signed a free agent, center Weston Richburg, who will be a starter on their interior offensive line. On Tuesday, they signed a free agent, Jonathan Cooper, who will compete to be a starter on their interior. The 49ers reached a one-year deal with Cooper, 28, who has played for four teams and made 27 starts since the Cardinals made him the No. 7 pick in the 2013 draft. Last year, Cooper started the final 13 games at left guard in his lone season with the Cowboys. It helped reverse a career nosedive that included a 2016 season in which he was waived by the Patriots and Browns.
