Rashard Robinson, who began 2017 as the 49ers' No. 1 cornerback and was benched last week amid a season filled with penalties, was traded to the Jets on Tuesday for a fifth-round pick. Robinson, a 2016 fourth-round pick, started the first seven games before he was replaced by rookie third-round pick Ahkello Witherspoon in Sunday's 33-10 loss in Philadelphia. Robinson played just 16 defensive snaps Sunday, but still drew two penalties on special teams, boosting his NFL-high total to 10. Among his infractions were four pass-interference penalties and two for illegal use of hands.
