George Kittle, Nick Bosa break down how Trey Lance will elevate the 49ers offense

Tight end George Kittle is excited about the potential of the San Francisco 49ers offense in 2022. He knows Trey Lance at quarterback will open things up for an already creative play-caller like Kyle Shanahan. The always enthusiastic Kittle was among several 49ers players who joined KNBR after Tuesday's practice. Of course, the conversation eventually drifted toward the team's new starting quarterback. The tight end loves what he's seen from Lance compared to where the 22-year-old was just a year ago. "Honestly, my favorite thing about Trey right now is that I've just seen him get better, honestly," Kittle said on the Papa & Lund show. The then-21-year-old quarterback, more than anything, needed reps—more than the two starts he got filling in for an injured Garoppolo. He entered the NFL with just 17 collegiate starts under his belt and only 318 passes

The quarterback was even seen interacting with teammates and fans. That shows you what Garoppolo has meant to the 49ers and the fanbase over the years. The Garoppolo chapter is nearing an end. Second-year quarterback Trey Lance has taken over as the team's starting quarterback. San Francisco has been trying to trade Garoppolo all offseason. Of course, the veteran undergoing shoulder surgery on March 8 complicated things, ending trade talks at the time. As the 49ers await a trade situation to develop, Garoppolo remains
