I believe there was a point yesterday where we were up 9pts. (19-10?)... and in FG range. A FG makes it a 12 pt game... so a TD + two pt conversion) + FG wouldn't be enough. They would need two TDs or TD with two FGs.

He almost turned the ball over.

Here is my reaction when it happened, along with everyone else in real time.

Again we got past the Cards. Just have to hope, again, that he learns from it. I just don't like to BS myself with what I see. I see the good, I see the potential, but I also see the obvious (which is the bad).

Without clicking the link I bet it was very grounded and reasonable.

I'd say so, for the immediate emotional reaction after seeing it live and responding right after.

BROCK WE ARE IN f**kING FG RANGE!!!! UP 9 PTS.

I think with Purdy you have to live with the dumb throws. I dunno, he just does it at least once or twice every game no matter what. I feel like he does it more now as time goes on than he did as a rookie and in '23. Besides the ones that were picked there were the passes to JJ and CMC which were pretty unadvisavle too but luckily caught. Its just what it is with him and its probably not going anywhere.

To me, I wanna see him get better in the 4th quarter of close games. That's where I wanna see improvement and not throwing stupid passes in those critical situations.

Thank you. Didn't want to be the one to bring up these passes but trust me. Was on my mind. Especially the hospital ball to CMC.

This one?

Can we take off the layered throw between the safeties and linebackers in the middle off the playbook? Seems like whenever brock attempts to throw there it's getting intercepted half the time. It used to be a strength of his in 2023 now it's a weakness.
People will get mad at Brock for making these kinds of throws that they perceive as risky, but then also discredit him when he throws to wide-open guys.

Incredible play by Brock there. Capital A anticipation. CMC showing just how great a route runner he is, and why this offense is so much better with him in the mix.

Well if we're going to do this for Brock we should do this for Mahomes, Hurts, Allen, Baker, etc because they make dogsh*t decisions sometimes too

I choose to believe we are on the trajectory of the 07' and 11' NYG. Get into the playoffs as a wildcard team and win the SB. Easy

Those teams had dominant pass rush. We have no pass rush. Simmer down.

Well I'm usually rooting against their teams to lose, so if they do f**k up like that. Good. As far as Baker, he used to be good for that. Mahomes and Hurts have usually been good with situational awareness, annoyingly so.
Thought he played well

He definitely played well. But was closer to 24 Brock than 23 Brock from my POV.
It seems like the Brock fans are always looking to show evidence that he's great. I don't understand why anyone doesn't like Brock. He's a good QB and other than a couple of unfortunate injuries he's been very sturdy. There's no reason to keep trying to make a case for him to be an elite QB or top 10 or whatever. He works well in Kyle's system. That's all that counts. Some more physically gifted QBs might not be suited for this system because they want to go off script too much. Kyle likes structure and Brock does well in a structured system. Jones has shown he does as well. It makes no difference if he's in the top 5, top 10 or top 20 as long as he plays well enough for the team to win.

Brock is good. Personally that conversation is settled. However questions about Purdy being the guy persist because of his inability to stay healthy. If he gets hurt again and is shut down again then the questions on going forward with him as the franchise QB will get louder. We've all seen potentially great careers of athletes in all sports derailed because of their inability to stay healthy.
I can't make a new thread for what I have to say. But I hope a lot of folks will see it here and think a little.
I see/feel a lot of contentiousness up in here. Not just in this thread, but all over the place.
Fellow fans, the 49ers are 7-4. Carolina is next. Then Cleveland. Then Tennessee.
The Holidays are upon us. There will be laughter, great food. RELAXATION! FUN!
Celebrate your LIFE!
ENJOY ALL THE GOOD! ENJOY IT while we have it.
Very hopefully we will be looking at 10-4.
But even if not, GO NINERS!
