Then why are you still texting me pictures of your junk?

Oh that has nothing to do with the draft.

After doing a bazillion mocks, my draft basically went according to plan.

RD1. Gibbs vs Bijan: I wanted to go Gibbs because same coaching staff, good QB and you know what you're going to get. The thing that swayed me away was his OLINE. Lost his center and RT. Their high priced replacement center already out. To me Bijan has a better Offensive line. While he is in a new sstem i like what Nick Chubb did under Stefanski. Looking at the playoff schedule I preferred Bijan's over Gibbs. So I went Bijan. Couldn't go wrong either way.

2/3 turn. Plan was to come away with any two of AJ Brown, Pickens Chris Olave. Unless of course one of the top RB's fell to here. In the event only 1 of these guys were available. I was planning on McBride. Which seems to be exactly what Ron did. Thankfully I got 2 of the guys I wanted.

4/5 turn. In a perfect world I wanted to come away with 2 RBs out of Skatteboo, Swift, Montegomery, Irving. If only one was availble the plan was that RB and DJ Moore. one pick away from getting my 2 RBs but plan B was once again there.

6/7 turn. This was where my plan could have went quite a few directions. Bottom line I was hoping to get my 3rd Rb or 3rd WR depending on how the 4/5 turn went. In this scenario I wanted to go 3rd RB here. With Warren, Stevenson, Dowdle and Mason as the options I was debating. Jaylen Warren was my pick in this round all the way up to the pick. It just so happened was listening to the pitt radio station that morning and one of the insiders was talking about how It appears that Dowdle is pitt's #1 whioch makes sense because he worked with McCarthy in Dallas. That got me off of Warren and looked at Dowdle and said F it. i'm not down either of them. Then looked more at Brooks. In hindsight, I wish I had done Mason. With the 2nd of the picks I had Pitts, Lawrence, Kraft in here. Watching the preseason boy it really had me wanting Pitts.

8/9 turn. this was where I was going to start really worrying about QBs. I even had the thought of going back to back QB's here with Nix and Goff as the plan. Thankfully, Lawrence was still available which is who I was debating on my last turn so it was an easy decision. Seeing Michael Wilson here was a pleasant suprise. He came on late last season. Yes mainly when MHJ was out but even when Harrison came back Wilson still produced. New coaching staff but reports suggest Wilson is still Brissett's favorite WR. We shall see.

10/11 turn. This is where I actually planned to with one of my must haves Wan'Dale Robinson and defense. But Robinson was gone and I My Jonathan Brooks decision didn't leave me feeling comfortable at RB3. So I punted on Defense, Went Chris Rodriguez and Bo Nix. Rodriguez reunites with Coen who was hishis OC at Kentucky. Jags lost ETN and Coen wanted Rodriguez and paid him decently so why not. Nix Again he was my target my last 2 turns so getting him here I'll take it. Nix and Lawrence combine to have a nice playoff schedule.

12/13 turn. Spears and Myers. I really wanted to go Najee Harris here but already gambling on Brooks & Rodriguez as my RB 3/4 I had to get a RB that is guaranteed to score some points even if it's only 8-9 game. Myers. Same thing just give me someone that I know can get me some points. Hope I never have to play him.

14/15 turn Defense and kicker. Lack of RB3 early forced me to skip on a top defense.

I was telling myself to wait on a QB until Rd 7-8, and was targeting Lawrence as I think he is going to have equal or better year. For you to get him at 9.1 is awesome value. I wasn't expecting to get Ja'Marr Chase so only the stack with Burrow changed that plan.

Pickens/Olave/DJ Moore is a super solid WR 1-3 and DJ Moore should have a much better year with an actual QB and a HC/OC that wants to throw more, and Montgomery is a RB2 at 5.1 that should get the majority of the carries and goal line work. He is 29, which is almost a death knell for RBs, but he split carries with Gibbs the last 3 years. I very much wanted to draft Michael Wilson because I think he is a better WR than MHJ, but settled for a low-risk and low-upside Sutton as my WR3 since old man Evans is my WR2. My high upside bet was Matthew Golden instead.

I really like your draft. In fact, in my other draft I too went Chase, RB ETN and drsfted Burrow .

Getting Chase you almost have to get Burrow if he naturally falls to you which he did in your case.

I completely understand your thought on Wilson/Sutton. That should have been my thought on my Brooks pick.

With the Jacobs sitch Golden very well could be that nice ticket to have.

I was so glad I got a a middle of the pack grade this year, C+. Last year I got the top grade, and finished 9th. The Yahoo Draft Grade curse is real.

Smart man. I was debating between Burrow or Egbuka as WR2, but I was pissed at how the Bucs handled Irving's injury last year. Said he could be back after 3 weeks, and he ended up missing 8 weeks and 7 games. They never put him on IR so he was taking up a precious bench spot in this league. Teams have been doing this quite often with their star/good players expected to be out about 3-4 weeks. Bowers and Pearsall were two others last year. Because of this, I am a proponent of letting teams use one of our two IR spots for players deemed out for that week.

Because of Jacobs' situation, I drafted Jordan Love as QB2 and Kaleb Johnson as RB4. Without Jacobs or as he wears down, if LeFleur believe Love is his franchise QB, I would think he leans more on Love's arm in the redzone and his steady stable of WRs and Kraft. Kaleb Johnson was my super low-risk and potential medium reward pick in the last round. Marshawn Lloyd has not shown he can stay healthy, and even he if does, I doubt the Packers lean on him too much given his injury history. Coming out of the 2025 NFL draft, I had eyes on Johnson as a potential 49ers pick because he came from Iowa's zone run scheme, and now he is in Green Bay. Not too crazy of a scenario that Johnson could be RB1 at some point for the Packers.

I predict Tyrone Tracy getting traded to GB. With an outside chance of AJ Dillon getting moved back to GB from CAR

I was devastated you went for Love, I was looking at the landscape and hoped with Burrow you wouldn't go for a backup. With his injury history you're completely right to though. I figured I had several QB's I liked as a backup, but honestly I'd be happy with Love as QB1, I think you're right, surely they'll have to throw more with the issues around Jacobs and we know he can do it. Only potential problem are his weapons if Watson goes down and/or Golden doesn't develop. Think Kraft will go nuts if healthy, but not guaranteed. Gore should have drafted him!

I even considered drafting a wildcard 3rd QB in the last round because of Burrow's injury history. I had Ja'Marr two other times in this league, and Burrow got hurt in both seasons. And totally agree on the questions surrounding Love's weapons.
Good luck, everyone.
