When wcw did the Scott Hall is an alcoholic angle, they got a lot of heat for it. Wwe shortly after WCW started doing that, Animal and Hawk had the same angle, with Hawk being the alcoholic. Wwe had to quickly scrap it and move on as well. Both Hall and Hawk had irl alcohol problems so it didnt over well at all.

Not sure what Vinnie is thinking with this one. Especially with Jeff whos well known for his drug and alcohol problems.

Get him help Vince, dont turn him into a circus act for ratings.

Nah. Vince is doing the right thing. He never messes up. Who are we to question his decisions?

I've studied and watched the Montreal Screwjob from all angles. Taker's view on the whole thing (prior to this interview) was always a key point of interest.

I like the conspiracy theory behind how this was a work and only few were in the loop.

Why put the belt on Bret during Summer Slam when you know he's leaving 2 months later? Why even do that? One explanation can be that you trust that Bret will drop the belt, and why wouldn't Bret drop it? He was the ultimate professional during that time. So there shouldn't be a need to "screw" him over.

Also, WWE at that time had a lawsuit against WCW because of what happened with the Women's championship belt that Medusa dropped in the trash cash on live TV. That lawsuit was an actual thing and during that time they were still in court. Technically that's WWE property, it's not like those belts actually belong to a wrestler, so the lawsuit made sense. Especially since those belts are pretty expensive. Bischoff basically says the same thing, that he wouldn't have asked Bret to bring the belt with him, mostly because of their current lawsuit.

So I don't believe WCW would've been okay with Bret stealing the belt and getting into another lawsuit. The other big part was that Brett during that contract of his that he signed earlier that year, it gave him creative freedom. Once again, it would've been a lawsuit type thing if Vince would've actually screwed Brett.

Then you have so many stories about this, that always contradicts itself. One example is the Vice story they did on this. Both Cornett and Russo swear up and down on their children how this was their idea and the other person was barely even there or aware of it lol. Nobody can their story together regarding this.

This was a GREAT WORK. Greatest in history. Without this screwjob, there is no Evil McMahon character. WCW dropped the ball on Bret. Bret could've been huge going into WCW. And Bret knew that. Get "screwed" like that, he would've been a huge fan favorite.
