According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Sasha Banks "tried to quit" WWE over the weekend, after feeling as if she was "blindsided" when told that the company was taking the new women's tag team titles off of her and Bayley. Banks was supposedly under the assumption that the duo would have a strong run with the titles, bringing credibility and seriousness to the new championship. With the Iiconics as the new title holders, this now makes the belts seem like "gimmick comedy belts."
— The story adds that WWE officials have given Banks a couple of weeks to think things through as the company believes her decision to quit was made in the heat of the moment.

She has a good point about the championships needing credibility and seriousness, but I think they chose the right team to put them on if Sasha and Bayley weren't gonna have them.

Good post, especially the bold. If they were going to screw Sasha and Bayley out of the belts.... They picked the best available team. Maybe this will make Sasha and Bayley come back as a heel tag team, and stop being all "Boss and Huggy" and completely change their characters.

Agree. They are a comedy act for the most part. Not saying that they should never win them, but not this early, especially when you are trying to bring credibility to those titles. They wouldn't have put the new woman's title when introduced several years ago on Vickie Guerrero (they probably should've though lol)

They are and its not like they can't become more serious characters. They've never really gotten the chance since they got called up because there were so many other women on Smackdown ahead of them. Charlotte, Becky, Naomi, Carmella, Sonya, Mandy, and Asuka. Its hard to get a solid push with that many big names ahead of you.

Nia Jax out 6-9 months, she tore BOTH ACL's in her KNees. I wonder if she will drop a little weight as part of her rehab?
