How does it work with these fighters?? Are they all under contracts with their respective orgainziations?? Cuz you see fighters from UFC on that new WAMMA orgainziation and vice versa between WEC and Elite XC. Are they all just free agents?? I know the only thing holding back Coture from fighting Fedor is contractual agreements with the UFC but is that the case for all fighters?

I'm not too sure how it goes either, but I know some fighters fight exclusively with their respective organizations. Sometimes they do fight in smaller venues as long as it doesn't rival their main company. I think WEC is actually a small branch from the UFC.

Or is it another publicity stunt to take away Margarito vs Cotto viewers?

UFC 89: Bisping vs Leben is going to be free on Spike...

He had to put it on Spike for free. Who in the hell would pay 45.00 to see a card with Bisping vs Leben as the main event?

British homers who actualy believe Bisping won that fight against Matt Hamill........

i don't know for a fact (so someone correct me if i'm wrong), but this is what i'm assuming......

i think some are on long term contracts (like the TUF winners). and some are on fight by fight, or even short term, contracts. so they can go to other organizations if they wish to. the UFC champs need to stay in the UFC i believe.... or else Dana is going to strip them like he did to BJ Penn a few years back....

You're probably right which kindda sucks because you'll never see champs from each organization go at it due to contractual BS.

Yea I think you're right. Fighters like Jeremy Horn has a contract with the UFC but he fights in a lot of smaller venues. Take a look at this MMA record. 88-13. THATS CRAZY!
^^unless of course Dana White is actually part owner or parters with owners of those smaller organizations... and he's using them as his version of nba d-league, minor league baseball, nfl europe sort of deal................
I think the WAMMA might start rivaling the UFC much like Pride did. They have the money and fighters to do so.

are they trying to send out a message saying Nogueira is better than Randy Couture?

Tito Ortiz to be in the co-main event for the next Affliction card. He will be facing Babalu. Main event is Fedor vs. Arlovski.

Tito and Donald Trump are tight. I knew that's where he was gonna go.

I had a feeling too, but I heard rumors of Tito coming back to the UFC. Oh well, I can't stand the guy anyways. I hope Sobral chokes out the millions that Trump offered Tito.

I wont miss Tito.

But I will say that the UFC is getting poached and missing ops that could make it stronger.

FEDOR should be in the UFC. How can you say you have the top heavy weight in the world when you don't let FEDOR fight.

Agreed. Fedor proved a lot by beating Sylvia like a rag doll a couple weeks ago. If I was Dana, I would sign Fedor under whatever circumstances. The best needs to fight with the best, and the UFC is slowly losing that in the heavyweight division.
Dana White doesn't have the money to compete with Trump.

his bosses do though. Dana's just the President of the UFC. The Fertitta brothers sign his checks.
