In MMA, you can't just stand there and watch your opponents hands, you also have to watch for the kicks, the take downs followed by the submissions and positions your opponent can get it to nail you with some G&P. There are just so many dynamics that make MMA so much more interesting, IMO, than boxing. I can totally appreciate the footwork and hand speed of boxing but if I had to choose between watching pretty boy floyd fight delahoya and watching fedor battle randy coture, i'm watching fedor vs. randy.
You think the Mora/Forrest fight was boring? The Hopkins/Calzaghe fight was the down right terrible.
WORST fight ive seen in god knows how long, especially with all the hype surrounding it. I would watch the Cote/Almeida fight as boring as that was over that anyday!.... Clutchin, grabbin and just straight up hugging is a hell of a lot more gay then 2 guys rollin on the ground tryin to break eachothers arms/legs and chokin eachother out..
I'll tune into boxing... but MMA is 10x more exciting to watch (ill give props to the lightweights/strawweigts/flyweights cuz they throw non-f**kin-stop). But MMA is a REAL fight. Pretty much anything goes and that tests peoples limits in so many ways... Boxing its, heres some gloves, throw and dodge punches. Sure it takes skill, but not even in the same class as MMA
