I'd like to see Brett Rogers vs. Brock Lesnar. But yah, I agree with you, I doubt Fedor decides to stand with him, either arm-bar or RNC.

Wasn't Rogers the one talking s**t to Kimbo??

So I'm watching season 1 of the ultimate fighter.
Man this show was so lame when it first came out. Horrible editing, horrible lightning, lameass challenges. Many fighters got voted off without us ever seeing them fight.

First season I partially watched I think was Forrest vs. Griffin.

It was quite annoying with all the smack talking and pissing in fruit salads and stuff.

Yeah Rogers called out Kimbo after the James Thompson fight or whatever that big white dude with the bloody ears was named. Rogers obviously wanted the win/money that would come with a Kimbo fight, but EliteXC was not ready to have the Kimbo myth crushed by Rogers. Unfortunately for EliteXC (and Kimbo) all it took was a little white boy with pink hair to lay Kimbo to rest.

Rogers will have a punchers chance against Fedor that much is for sure, unfortunately that's about all he will have. It should be an exciting match, but as you mention, will most likely end in a submission victory for Fedor. Stranger things HAVE happened before though.

I think Fedor wins it, but I wouldn't be surprised if Rogers wins by KO.

That's what I was always thinking, but that's what Fedor is thinking as well. Rogers has 30-40 pounds on Fedor with looks to be a much bigger reach advantage. I could see it ending by either, Rogers KO'ing Fedor, Fedor shooting in wearing him out on the ground ending with GNP or Fedor ending it with a submission. But IMO that's why I'm taking Fedor, he's more of a balanced fighter, one dimensional fighters don't last long in MMA.

What's misleading is Fedor's strength despite being only 230 lbs. Brett Rogers has power but is not the fastest fighter out there. But I think he'll give Fedor a run if they stand up. Unfortunately, if it hits the ground, advantage goes to Fedor with a leg lock.

I wonder if Fedor will strike first with that lightning fast lead punch of his and take it to the ground. I'm thinking he might surprise Brett and play the counter punch game while chopping at him with low leg kicks.

Fedor's pretty good at the angles game. He's only been rocked once as everyone knows by that 250 lb+ half man/half rhino Fujita back in the Pride Days.

No shame in Fedor getting KO'd by a big man who knows how to punch. But don't be surprised if Fedor deals Brett a taste of his own medicine as Fedor also packs a whallop.
i think Fedor's gonna use the same strategy he did against Sylvia. rush in quick, take him down, and submit him.
UFC 102 predictions?

I am not as confident with these picks as I was with UFC 101.

Nog stops Randy with strikes middle of the 2nd
Thiago TKO of Jardine early in the 3rd
Marquardt TKO of Maia middle of the 3rd

Can't help but root for Thiago Silva now after UFC showcased the life he lived while growing up in Brazil with the UFC 102 countdown special or something. Dang his wife is a perky little sprite--athletic, trains with Thiago, big ass, big breasts lol.

And I'm guessing Chris "The Bridge Troll" Leben over Jake Rosholt with a decision or KO/TKO late in the 3rd.
i'm most looking forward to maia/marquart fight. I say Maia by sub in the 1st.

I like Nog but I think Randy wins it by decision. I got Thiago over Jardine by TKO. As much as I like Maia, I also choose Marquardt to win by TKO.
