It's the mohawk

I don't know though. Probably just the fact that he's the face of the organization basically. Ever since he defeated Tito the first time.

All business brotha. chuck belongs to the UFC, UFC has a contact with Spike. Spike promotes Chuck leading to more PPV buys for the UFC.

Exactly... pump him up before his next PPV

Tito and Donald Trump are tight. I knew that's where he was gonna go.

I had a feeling too, but I heard rumors of Tito coming back to the UFC. Oh well, I can't stand the guy anyways. I hope Sobral chokes out the millions that Trump offered Tito.

I wont miss Tito.

But I will say that the UFC is getting poached and missing ops that could make it stronger.

FEDOR should be in the UFC. How can you say you have the top heavy weight in the world when you don't let FEDOR fight.

Agreed. Fedor proved a lot by beating Sylvia like a rag doll a couple weeks ago. If I was Dana, I would sign Fedor under whatever circumstances. The best needs to fight with the best, and the UFC is slowly losing that in the heavyweight division.

all fedor did was prove he could do what guys like f.mir n a.arlovski did previously...
put away t.sylvia quickly in the first round. even old as he!! and undersized r.couture was able to drop sylvia quickly in the first round, but was unable to finish. that's not impressive to me.
im not saying fedor isnt great, im just saying i would like to see a lot more activity against quality (not ridiculously inconsistent) opponents

Well, Affliction might have Fedor vs Arlovski in October/November. Also, rumored Matt lihland vs Belfour......sorry no link...i'll look for it.
dont get me wrong. im stoked that affliction is looking like
they might actually be able to ge some decent events together.
i hate the thought of UFC being able to overcharge fans AND
underpay fighters and control the evolution of the sport to their own financial gain.
they get away with it cuz there isnt much competition right now.
hopefully affliction will be able to change that a little.
we already got that silva v irwin event for free.
see what good comes out of UFC having to EARN fans,
instead of being the only show in town?
but looking at it from strictly a "prove it in the ring/cage" perspective,
NOTHING COMES CLOSE TO THE TALENT LEVEL OF THE UFC RIGHT NOW.
i'd be curious to see fedor v gonzaga or werdum.
i simply appreciate the fact that right now in the UFC
the top guys fight often and there are no easy matchups anymore.

Fedor crushed Sylvia--yeah that was expected
Fedor submitted the Korean Giant Hong Man Choi--yeah that was expected
Fedor submitted Linland--yeah that was expected
Fedor emerged from a long ground war with Mark Hunt and submitted him--yeah that was expected but it looked like Hunt was getting close to win that match.

Fedor's toughest 3 fights (IMO)

vs. Fujita when he almost got Ko'd
vs. Mark Coleman when he escaped with an submission after Coleman was rocking him on the ground
vs. Crocop (Fedor got bloodied up pretty good but emerged with the unanimous decision)

His last quality opponent was Hunt (who dftd. Crocop btw). Where is Hunt btw? The dude is tough as nails and you can't knock him out big Samoan. I bet he'd destroy gonzaga, couture, arvloski, and werdum.

5'11, 275 lbs or something.

True about Hunt. But isn't the heavyweight limit in the UFC 265lbs?

Fedor is a great fighter but I was one of those people who would talk s**t cus he hasn't fought anyone that was worth a challenge for awhile. But his punching speed and power is definitely something that can't be looked past. I want the Couture fight to happen so bad, but I'm definitely believing that Fedor could knock out Couture.

Fedor has one of the best lead rights in the game. Yes he has hands of stone. Rewatch I think his first fight with Nogueria for the title? OMG he just blasts the hell out of Nogueria on the ground (testament to the toughness of Nogueria). But Fedor is an all around guy. He can submit with the best of them, has good cardio, knows what to do when in trouble, and is just sooo smart.

I didn't know there was a weight limit. Checking Hunt's bio again, they list him at 5'10, 290 :)

Watch the crocop-hunt fight on youtube. Crocop wanted none of Hunt and kept dancing away from him ala Machida. It's hilarious--towards the end of the fight Hunt's face looks just like the stay puft marshmellow's man face in ghostbusters when he gets angry hehe.
Oh yeah I remember in the crocop/hunt fight Crocop lands like 2 or 3 of his patented left high kicks to Hunt's noggin but they have no effect :)

he lands an axe kick too. man those axe kicks in K1 are beautiful.

Fedor really is a friggen cyborg. A man that looks like him, you would never expect him to be one of the best heavyweight fighters in the world. Mark Hunt is good. It makes me sad whenever I watch him obliterate Wanderlei the way he did.

I remember Mike Goldberg saying that Brock Lesnar was at the heavyweight limit at 265 lbs. I cant remember if Sylvia was at the same weight...

My first real experience watching MMA was like 3 years ago on an FSN pride showing...I was watching Coleman and Fedor, and I was like who the hell is this Fedor guy they were hyping up as he was getting clobbered by Coleman...then out of the blue he armbars Coleman with lightning speed..game over...wow.
