I still can't believe this version of the Celtics won it all last season. Weakest championship run I've ever seen in any sport
I know - it seemed so weak because they were obliterating the teams in front of them with suffocating D and a relentless rain of threes and that was despite missing Porzingis for the majority of last year's playoffs. The Magic took away their three point attack in round 1 but they adjusted and moved on but the Knicks didn't care how many they shot and they went 25 for 100 in two games, lmao. They make just 2-3 more threes they're up 2-0 on the Knicks. That's why they always say, live by the three, die by the three. I thought the Harden-led Rockets back in the day had it bad...
Lmao oh please, they were lucky to avoid the other top 3 teams in their garbage conference due to injuries . And even the jv opponents they did end of facing during their run ended up losing their best players due to injury too, first round Heat lost Jimmy Butler(notorious Celtic killer) in the play-in, Donovan Mitchell got injured in the final 2 games vs Boston in a 5 game series, and then the Pacers loss Tyrese Haliburton in the finals 2 games vs Boston. Theyre the only team in nba history to win every close out game in their first 3 series where their opponents best player weren't on the floor. and after their cake walk they got to play the 5th seed Dallas Mavericks in the finals. the only 51 plus win team they played that entire run.
But sure man, they did dominated their mediocre and broken opponents, I'll give you that.
