change the format to something similar to MLB.

Ewwwww. I could see that working if the playoff seeding included both conferences in one big bracket and all first round games pitted west vs east teams. Winner of the all star game would grant their conference homefield in the 1st round :)

I like that as well, it is extra incentive, but then you're also going to have players who dgaf because they know their team is not making no finals lol. So add money to it as well. Get a sponsor to pay 12 mil, 1 mil to each player on the winning team. This will make the AS game good again.
