I just don't understand how Cuban allowed this.

If they wanted to trade Luka, you could've gotten a lot more. AR should've been in the trade, Dalton should've been in the trade, and more 1st round picks.

This is one of the biggest steals I've ever seen in a trade.

Edit: didn't realize Cuban sold his majority share and isn't involved in the day to day operations anymore.

So the new owners and this GM are absolutely dumb.

I don't think they're willing to trade KD if they can get the Butler trade done. If they can't, then maybe the Dubs send an offer the Suns can't refuse. They need more future 1sts to trade.

Other than KD and Booker who does Phoenix have that Miami would even want for Butler. I seriously doubt they would want Beal but he has a no trade clause anyway. Just hard to imagine a deal getting done

The best thing Phoenix can do it to blow it up. They are the oldest team in the league and have the highest payroll I believe.

They are looking at a multi-team trade to make it happen - reports have named up to 5 teams in the discussions. Beal's no trade clause makes it even harder, though.

Pretty much . Non basketball related move in the interest of Dallas owners getting what they want . And Luka in LA is good for all NBa owners (money wise )

Reports are that Luka is Zion'ing himself into terrible shape. He's listed at 230 but is reportedly pushing 270.

His basketball shape is absolutely questionable and he is due a $350 M contract .

But cmon , call only one team and not find out if you can get more than AD ? He just got you to the NBA finals .

i think the dudes on All The Smoke hinted that Luka has an alcohol issue and that could be part of the reasoning for the trade.

but that still doesnt explain why he was offered to only one team.
