The most concerning thing about all of this is now back to back outings where Guasman just cannot find his control early.

Yeah he looks pretty s**tty since the ASB like you said. Went from thinking we were automatically gonna win when he starts, to wondering if he is even gonna make it through 3 or 4 innings

This is the first game that I have watched all season where I actually want to just turn it off and go do something else

Hopefully he figures it out soon, before they lose the lead in the division

What you expect with cueto pitching
You blaming cueto? He pitched fine. Not sure if you watched the game.
I mean my expectations for him are less than gausman desclafani and woods , he gave up 3 which is not very good and he been getting lit up most the year
He went 5, gave up 3, only allowed 4 baserunners and struck out 7. Thats a very good outing.
He made a mistake to Reynolds, but his WHIP
was under 1.00 and he struck out 7. I don't have any issues with his outing. The Giants gave that game away.
3 runs shouldn't be a problem for this team though. We average 5 runs a game for the season. Compared to what he's been doing this was a gem from Cueto.

Long way to go and wont overreact to a couple of bad outings but its going to be very interesting to see what Farhan decides to do with Gausman and DeSclafani. Both were pretty bad before coming to the Giants and it would be risky to give either a 4 year deal for big bucks given the lack of a track record. And pitchers who throw splitters have been a bigger injury risk over the years. Its just so against everything Farhan has done to date to give big long term deals that I am not sure he will go there. Time will tell.

I think you have to re-sign Guasman to a long term deal. (If he doesn't just tank 2nd half) and I think you QO Descalfani.
