Eldridge, Jung Ho, Adames all did their thing.

and this game is safe for the bullpen to take over.
We just spent our run quota for June.

He had a good series but you can't take away too much from one series. Especially against the Rockies at Coors Field.

Well knowing the Giants, Eldridge will probably be benched after this good performance.

You can if you watch the last few series and didn't just look at the box scores. He has had some great ABs over the last few series. Isn't chasing pitches, especially the low ones teams try and attack him on, taking walks, not over swinging. He's getting a lot of complements on his approach.

I'm more impressed with his patience at the plate than I am with his hitting. He's not striking out as much as he did in AAA. What we don't know yet is whether that will change when he's been around the league more and they get a book on him. I've seen way too many players come up and have great starts and then dropoff once the league has seen more of them.

So yes I'm pleased with his patience at the plate and the way he played in Colorado but I need to see a few more series like that. Remember he's on thr team for one thing. He's here to provide power so he has to continue with that. He's not here to draw walks. He's not going to help them in the field.

Taking pitches, drawing walks, not chasing is how you get pitches in the zone to hit. Which is allows you to get the 4 hits he had yesterday. Again, he HAS been doing this for a few series now.
I'm not sure why they called up Cox from AA. He's a great prospect but he doesn't have a spot. Unless its to get a good look at him and potentially trade Ramos or Bader...which would be okay. Ramos is a bonehead in the OF and on the bases.

13 games under .500 will cause changes. At this point Posey is just trying to find some players that can drive in runs and play some decent baseball. It's crazy that they're this far back when they have the 4th most hits in the majors and are 1st in doubles and 2nd in triples. Kuiper must be getting tired of saying the Giants leave em stranded. Buster would probably like to bring up some pitching but they don't have much to bring up.

Maybe I missed something, but did they send Koss back down? Or did he somehow get injured? I realized yesterday while watching that I haven't seen him in awhile. And even when I did see him, they never gave him any playing time for some reason

He's on the 7 day injured list. Not sure why.

If Eldridge continues to hit and shows he can handle left handed pitching then they're going to need to make some trades. Moving Ramos would be fine.It would make room for Cox or Schmitt. If they could somehow trade Chapman then Schmitt could take over 3rd leaving Eldridge as the full time DH. The problem is Chapman may be hard to trade. He lives in Arizona and has his roots in California . At 33 he may veto any radical move assuming the Giants could find a willing trade partner.
Good lord our pitchers suck.

Not even at the break yet and we're reduced to watching young players develop. At least we can watch the sausage races in Milwaukee.
