Eldridge, Jung Ho, Adames all did their thing.
and this game is safe for the bullpen to take over.

He had a good series but you can't take away too much from one series. Especially against the Rockies at Coors Field.

You can if you watch the last few series and didn't just look at the box scores. He has had some great ABs over the last few series. Isn't chasing pitches, especially the low ones teams try and attack him on, taking walks, not over swinging. He's getting a lot of complements on his approach.

I'm more impressed with his patience at the plate than I am with his hitting. He's not striking out as much as he did in AAA. What we don't know yet is whether that will change when he's been around the league more and they get a book on him. I've seen way too many players come up and have great starts and then dropoff once the league has seen more of them.
So yes I'm pleased with his patience at the plate and the way he played in Colorado but I need to see a few more series like that. Remember he's on thr team for one thing. He's here to provide power so he has to continue with that. He's not here to draw walks. He's not going to help them in the field.

I'm not sure why they called up Cox from AA. He's a great prospect but he doesn't have a spot. Unless its to get a good look at him and potentially trade Ramos or Bader...which would be okay. Ramos is a bonehead in the OF and on the bases.

Maybe I missed something, but did they send Koss back down? Or did he somehow get injured? I realized yesterday while watching that I haven't seen him in awhile. And even when I did see him, they never gave him any playing time for some reason

Good lord our pitchers suck.
The San Francisco Giants have hired veteran third-base coach Gary Pettis, formerly of the Houston Astros, to become their new third-base coach.

He replaces Hector Borg, who was removed from the position last week, and replaced on an interim basis by Ron Wotus.
