Yeah.. its looking grim

I went back and looked at Chapmans's stats form last season. He was struggling last year in May with a BA of around .217-.220. The difference was he had 8 HRs and 24 RBI compared to 1 HR and 14 RBI ths season. He's also not getting many walks. Few of the Giants are.

The Giants have played 13 games since Eldridge was brought up. He's appeared in 8 of them with 24 ABs. I don't get it. If they aren't going to play him more then send him back to AAA where he can play every day. This is starting to look the same as the way they handled Luciano and Matos. When you bring up a young player that's going to strike out a lot you have to be prepared to ride it out.

I would assume they're trying to move chapman but if this continues they need to send him down, it makes no sense

Trading Chapman might be tough. He has a big contract. It will take a team that needs the defense at 3rd and already has a good offense. Chap,an is a vet and he can come out of his slump at trany time. After hus slow satrt last season he still ended up hitting 21 HRs. If the Giants trade Chapman they'll have to hope Schmitt continues to hit well. He's pretty good defensively but he's not as good as Matt.

I would rather see Eldridge playing 1st base every day in AAA than playing DH every other day in the majors.

and so it begins, schmitts first start at lf.
Didn't realize Arenado was on the Dbacks. Sucks, he's back in the division. Unbelievable how much he owns the Giants
They go big in Arz at their park. I visited and watched a giants game there a few years ago and they had a giant corn dog that looked like a wiffle bat. It was over 3000 calories.

now a bucket of nachos.

Looks more like a bucket of dog food. Nachos at ballparks are usually soggy after the first few.
More proof that baseball is the wackiest most unpredictable game.

Last night the Giants were down 4-0 after 6 pitches in the 1st inning. Meanwhile the A's pitcher took a 1-0 no hitter into the bottom of the 9th. Six pitches later he gave up a single and a HR. Lost the no hitter and the game on six pitches. You can't make this stuff up.

This is why we love baseball so much and can get so frustrated at the same time. No other game like it.
