When did we see that before? Scoring 8-9 runs for a game, 2 or less the next 5 games.
The only difference is I believe last year they had somewhat better pitching.
Go ahead, call me negative. I'll quickly turn to positive when the Giants give me the reason to be one.

.500 may be optimistic more I see of them, they got some trash players who have no business starting for a major league team is the problem , and they hitters, but yes I do agree with you the pitching is less than last year for sure, they have some pieces like devers chapman Adonis and their best hitter arraez, but they need more, there's 3 guys who come to mind when I see them come up to bat, I'm like well it's time for a drink or bathroom break cause I know nothing gonna happen

What a disastrous 3-7 beginning and philly is next.

The one area where the Giants figured they had no issues was the lineup, but so far that has been a massive disappointment. They have just 26 runs through 10 games, which ranks last in the majors. They're last in OPS by 44 points, and entering Sunday, there wasn't a single everyday player with a wRC+ that was league-average. Most Giants aren't even close to that mark.

They're in a slump
Trying to steal a base down 3 runs in the 9th inning is simply horrendous baseball.

Last or next to last in nearly every offensive category. No power. Can't hit for average. Striking out too much. The first team in the majors to lose 7 games. It's early but this isn't a good way to start. You don't want to spend the entire year trying to get back to .500. They're already turning off some fans.

I did find it funny after Chapman's 'hard' talk to Schmidt a few games ago, he pulls a boneheaded steal attempt with 0 outs and down by 3 in the bottom of the 9th against the Mets.

This is what happens when teams are struggling. Even normally good players start pressing and making mistakes. Chapman is a good base runner and fielder but he's making throwing errors that you don't usually see from him.

As bad as the Giants have looked there are 5 teams with lower batting averages. Half the league is batting under .230.
