Baseball isnt fun anymore.
I have been saying for a long time now that baseball is a farce and will continue to be so until a salary cap is put in. Once again I will not watch a game in 2026.
Kyle Tucker getting $60M a season.

But people told me I was crazy for wanting Judge at $50M a season. But people told me I was crazy for wanting Ohtani at $100M a season.
Dodgers only had two "needs" this offseason and that was closer and OF. They got Edwin Diaz and Kyle Tucker. This is ridiculous and stupid. I remember someone in this thread trying to tell me how "awesome" the MLB postseason was. It was a complete joke to watch the Dodgers win even if it was competitive.

Baseball has become an absolute joke. I can't wait for the lockout.

That was me, and anyone who claimed it wasnt is lying to themselves. I get the sentiment about the Dodgers but it was the most fun and competitive postseason in recent memory.

their luxury tax penalty by itself would be the 19th highest payroll in the MLB

im usually pro labor / pro player but this f**king league desperately needs a salary cap included in the new CBA after next season

There was recent salary cap proposal and the MLBPA had sharply rejected even the mention of one. Yes, they have to be forced to have one but will the owners have the colonies to cut their own throats in the process. All the other owners will be fine while the Dodgers win the next 10 titles as long as they are pocketing the lux tax money. Especially poor sisters of the MLB. Like I have said if fans in every city other than obviously LA and TV viewers abroad entirely boycotted all the Dodgers games, maybe that would have mocked MLB hierarchy into substantial embarrassment and lost revenues. And would have probably forced the owners of all the other clubs descend upon the LA ownership standing alone. Obviously, it is much more a dream than reality. We all know that, MLB knows that, the Dodgers know that. So, they'll enjoy themselves terrorizing baseball for however long they want until they themselves get tired and disinterested of winning bogus titles.

Baseball is ruined , small market teams don't stand a chance, hell big markets don't either, this is crazy every offseason dodgers just sign the best free agent, it's not even worth thinking about signing him anymore cause you know he gonna be a dodger, sad times

I hate seeing the Dodgers getting nearly every free agent they want but let's be honest. We all loved it when Eddie D was signing every available free agent that wanted a trophy. Warriors fans didn't mind when Lacob was handing out big money to win those titles. If the owner is willing to pay the luxury tax oand shell out mega money then so be it.

I don't see how much longer MLB can go without doing a hard cap like thre NFL. Tucker is a good player but he's not even in the top 10 or 15 in my mind. Paying him that much is going to escalate salaries to levels that is unsustainable for most teams. I can't understand why young kids aren't seeing these salaries and flocking to ball fields. It's a far better and longer lasting career than football if you can make it to the majors.

Meanwhile the Giants:

Was hoping somehow they could sign Bichette since he's young but knew that wasn't likely with Adames and Chapman contracts.
