This night sucks. I didn't watch 1 second of the world series this year games 1-6. I checked the scores on my phone during every game, just to see. Throughout tonight's game, I was doing the same. When it went into either the 7th or the 8th, Jays up 4-2 I decided to turn it on so I could see the end. No kidding, within about 1 minute of me turning it on, Muncy hit his HR. I should have turned it back off, but I kept it on and watched the rest.

Now I am almost as mad as I would be happy if the Giants had won. The fkn Jays had so many chances to win it at the end

As soon as the final out happened, I turned on YouTube to watch Giants World Series highlights to help numb the pain. Not sure if it's helping or not, but damn all the nostalgia from those 2010, 2012, & 2014 teams though! I sure hope we get to see something like that again in our lifetimes with the Giants. I have teared up several times while watching them and it seems funny to tear up over a baseball team. But I guess when you put so many years and so much emotion and time invested into watching every game, it takes a big toll on your emotions, and it reminds me how special it is/was to see them win. I can't believe it's been so long already since they went on that run.

Anyways, f**k the dodgers for ruining baseball.

The Dodgers didn't ruin baseball. The league ruined baseball.

I watched the whole game last night hoping the Jays would win. It was a good game if you remove your personal hate from it. Which is tough. When the dodgers got the last out, I just said f**k and turned the tv off.

Haven't had a back to back champ in 25 years. 50 years for the NL. Hopefully the league realizes the salary cap and deferred contracts are ruining baseball.

Championship bought and paid for

You and I did exactly the same thing. The minute the ump called the last out I switched channels.

I agree 100%. The Dodgers aren't to blame. Yes they spend more than anyone else but there's no rules against that. Giants fans wouldn't be complaining if we were signing all those guys. The Dodgers have other advantages besides money. Good weather. A fair stadium for both pitchers and hitters. Huge population so the stadium is packed all the time. Plus the proximity to Hollywood gives players more opportunities to earn even more from TV and movies spots.

Toronto was literally an inch or so away from winning the game when the catcher lifted his foot off the force at home. He barely got if back down in time. Same for the fly ball caught by Pages. If that happened one batter earlier when there was one out the Jays would have won. Anyway now we have to endure another off season of hearing how great the Dodgers are.

Toronto fans should be happy at least the Raptors have won something. The Maple Leafs are perennial chokers and now the Blue Jays join in that misery.

And with the contract payment deferrals they will continue to poach the best players.

It's really unfair. I know that is sour grapes and if it were the Giants doing this I probably would have a different opinion but I just don't see how it's fair. The Dodgers and the Marlins (for example) do not belong in the same sport. When one club operates so different than the others how can they be in the same league and compete with each other?

The Blue Jays outplayed the Dodgers for most of the series. They outpitched them, outscored them and outhit them throughout the series. Unfortunately for them in the last game the Dodgers made enough close plays to win. Plus they hit the big HR to take the lead in extra innings. In the end they just had too many players that can hurt you. Even if their stars aren't hitting well they have guys that can hit a HR. The Blue Jays don't have as much fire power and 2 of their best players (Bichette and Springer) were hurting.

Yea, it was tough to watch them not able to get a run when they had a guy on second with no outs twice late in the game.

Toronto takes Trey Yesavage taken 7 picks after we take the late, great James Tibbs....someone should be fired over that decision. Cam Smith of the Cubs was also available. Now I am done complaining.

While I totally agree that a salary cap, a salary floor, and a rule about these ridiculous contract referrals are all needed yesterday, you really are off base on this one.

The 2025 playoffs were pure cinema from start to finish. So much drama. So many excellent games, whether your team was participating or not. I dont know how anyone could have watched this postseason and come away thinking anything other than how great it was.
As Giants fans, we are used to seeing the team we are rooting for get runners in scoring position, and fail to score. Those late innings last night reminded me a lot of Giants games from this season.
Webb and Bailey win gold gloves.

They are the first battery mates to win gold gloves since Wainwright and Molina in 2013.

Well this almost makes up for the world series

Lol, for sure it does...
Would love to see us bring in Shota Imanaga. Really good pitcher and could probably be brought in for a reasonable number.

That would be nice but we know where he'll end up.

I think Chris Sale could fill the verlander role... I am curious what kind of contract he will command. Only guy I would consider overpaying for would either be maybe Flaherty if hes available or Ranger Suarez. I would also say Framber but the s**t he did with his catcher where he intentionally crossed him up is a big red flag.

Chris Sale (37 years old, 10.0 WAR) -- club option
Dylan Cease (30, 8.1)
Framber Valdez (32, 7.7)
Ranger Suárez (30, 7.5)
Jack Flaherty (30, 5.9) -- can opt out
Chris Bassitt (37, 4.8)
Michael King (31, 4.7)
Shota Imanaga (32, 4.0)
Zac Gallen (30, 3.9)
Zach Eflin (32, 2.6)
Miles Mikolas (37, 2.2)
Adrian Houser (33, 2.1)
Tyler Mahle (31, 2.1)
Aaron Civale (31, 1.8)
Chris Paddack (30, 1.8)
Brandon Woodruff (33, 1.8)
Michael Soroka (28, 1.5)
Marcus Stroman (35, 1.0)
John Means (33, 0.5) -- club option
Walker Buehler (31, -0.4)
Looks like Pat Burrell is staying with the staff, not sure if it will be hitting coach though.
