I had watched baseball since 1962. I had seen bad teams, unlucky teams, talentless teams, you name it. I had never seen supposedly decent to good team performing so incompetently. They are 100 times worse than the bad team or what they should have been, because when you know you have the bad team at the beginning of the season you are not expecting anything. Their play the last 2+ months is as if they are maliciously scripting the most hellish scenario for every game and purposely follow that script, touching the depth of incompetence in EVERYTHING that can be touched in the game of baseball. Actually, you couldn't script that nightmare if your life depended on it. I had never before seen such abomination and malice on the Giants team. This stuff is beyond the legends, and it must be absolutely the voodoo curse of the highest degree placed on the Giants in June and the only explanation without any doubt. Find out if Boston has a demon on their payroll they've set with Devers to guide the Giants team. That nonsense can be totally equated to Giants play.

Giants have the worst record in baseball since the Rafael Devers trade 😬 pic.twitter.com/mXzy4dIA1H

Yeah man. This thread is shot. The Devers trade is crap because the giants won't make the playoffs. Absolute dumb take. Statistically one of the best 5 hitters in all of baseball is on the team until 2033, and we are looking at it as a bust over a few months. And he was playing hurt. And he cited an attitutude problem...the the player agreed and has played 1b in SF. Idiot s**t.
This is coming from a dude who complains about Devers, Adames, Lee, but never says a word about Chapman who is a disappointment this year. I can't take it seriously.
This thread is washed.

the thread was shot when you thought pete alonzo was the best defensive 1b, per advanced metrics, cuz you were mistakenly looking at an alphabetized list of first basemen. that told me all i needed to know about your mlb takes. not everything is about matt chapman. chap does lead our team in war, in terms of our lineup, and he's missed a month. the reason war looks at him favorably is he runs bases and plays the field better than your average player. devers does all that stuff worse than your average player. and chapman didn't cost us prospects, and he doesn't make $200m either. that trade was supposed to move the needle, and yeah it moved it for boston. they are in the playoffs if they were to start today.
"When we were winning, everybody was on our side, now it's like all the fans are against us and all that. I don't get it." IDK Heliot maybe 35k people showing up each game were tired of seeing the Giants roll over at home. https://t.co/lahcBDUQAE

part of the deal is we pick up over $200m. no one has the crystal ball, and the future is uncertain but as of now, i have no issue calling a spade a spade. as of now that trade sucks.

The trade doesnt suck. The players we gave up "suck." I guess you would rather have a young pitcher who is regularly getting blown up in AAA than a great major league hitter because of money. SMFH. Stupid.

he's not a top tier hitter. if you look at slug, he's 44th, tied with ben rice. in ops he's 21st, behind the rockies catcher. if you look at average he's 89th. he's a good bat, who doesn't run well or field well and has an attitude, at least for sure he did in boston. he's not top in anything, guys like judge / ohtani are top when it comes to hitting and this guy ain't in the judge tier. not close. so you can't get 4 words into the post without getting it wrong here.
