Hopefully Kuip is alright lol

Kuip's voice was normal right after and he joked about it. I thought his voice going out added to the call. Crazy moment.

Lmao he was excited

He's been sick the last couple days and his voice has been bothering him. Last night he thanked the Giants team doctors for keeping him in the booth. He made a crack about how the team doctors shouldn't have to spend more time on the announcers than they do on the players.
yeah, two night ago pregame when he was stating the giants lineup, he sounded like complete ass.
Oh boy...

Lol I know, I was watching. One thing I did notice though was that they didn't do the little wrap segment with Kruk and Kuip in the booth after the game on the postgame show.
Back in the day when I was in high school my parents had season tickets. They had 1 game from every home series for the whole season. It was cool, but sometimes on weeknight games we would get sick of going because it was over an hour drive each way, and having to get up early the next day for work/school, etc.

I can remember one time we left early like the ppl in that video, and we missed a walkoff win. We heard it on KNBR while we were driving on the bay bridge and were mad that we left early.

We had season tix also. One time we went early for some cool giveaway for kids and my mom had to pee real bad so my dad got off the freeway. We got there late and they were all gone. My dad was pissed. lol. Not quite a walkoff story but yours reminded me of that.

I admit I switched channels between the 8th and 9th inning. I and then dozed off. It happens at my age. I woke up and checked the scores and saw the Giants won so I had to watch the post game show to see what happened.

Lol that sucks. I remember waiting in a long ass line for an Omar Vizquel bobblehead giveaway. I still have it in a box somewhere.

Man, I miss going now that we are talking about it. I went to a game last season on the Willie Mac award night. That was my first Giants home game since 2013. Since then, I have been to multiple Giants games in all the other NL west parks though.
Giants are 4-0 since Matt Chapman back (I previously said 5/6)... they have won 6 out of 7 games.

Now have the edge in the 3rd wild card spot. s**t got weird vs the Marlins but Chapman seems to be the catalyst for this team. If Verlander finally gets a win, that would be a great sign for things to come lol.

Chapman is important because respected hitters provide coverage for other hitters so they see better pitches. But the giants were winning when Chapman went down. Schmitt was filling in and then he got hurt and s**t went downhill. So while it's true Chapman is a catalyst, you are reaching a tad. The reality is they need all their good players to play well at the same
time.

For sure, I forgot about Schmitt being hot and then getting hurt. I am all for his post-post-hype breakout, I bought a $20 autographed Schmitt bowman rookie card like 2 years ago and I need to recoup that! It's been worth about as much a CatchMaster80 post, $0.02.
First walk-off inside the park HR in 99 years!! So even before you were born catchmaster 🤣
