God damn. They pitch around Lee to get to Chapman. Twice today Chapman strikes out to end the rally/inning. Love dude but he strikes out so f**king much. The were blowing fastballs by him

Same 2-3 guys are hurting the team at the plate. Opposing teams are figuring this out now.

Chapman has always struck out a lot but he hits HRs and gets a lot of walks . I can handle the SOs as long as the player hits with power and gets on base. Still wish he could cut down on the SOs.

He is barely above half of the Mendoza line.

I find it impossible to believe any of our right handed hitters couldn't hit better than .125 against righties.
Starting to look like the team everyone thought they were…
Omg they lost to the rockies lol
Need to turn this around & start playing better ball again. 0-3 vs. the NL West.

Quick little AAA update....

Carson Whisenhunt was shoving until he got absolutely lit up last game. Went from a 2.70era and 0.95 whip to a 5.09era and 1.35 whip.

On the positive side, Kyle Harrison has done the opposite and shoved last game. Went from a 5.40era and 1.60 whip to a 3.86era and 1.33 whip..

Love to see Harrison turn this around, but bummer to see Whisenhunt get blown up as bad as he did.

What do you mean by "shoving" and "shoved"?

Did you mean showing and showed? Sorry, I'm just not sure if maybe there is another stupid new word on the internet that I wasn't aware of just yet or not

Saying a pitcher "shoved" is not an internet thing nor is it a stupid new word. It's common baseball vernacular that had been around forever.

Shoved the bats up their ass.

Overall they're a better team but the offense is starting to look like last year. You can't be losing at home to the worst team in all of baseball. When they put up the lineup for the Rockies I only recognized one name. Not one big name.

I'm not sure how I have never heard this in all my years of watching and playing baseball.

Forgive me for thinking it could have been a new trendy internet word. It seems like there's a new one every month or so, until the next one comes out

I never heard that term either. I'm 78 and it's been years since I layed baseball. We never used that term back then. I haven't heard it used by announcers ether.

i think it's more a modern term. earliest usage i could find is 2017. something players say among each other. this guy shoved, and so forth.

Greg Papa uses it fairly often...
