Of course he was hurt. Wilmer is a pro and he's not the kind of player that would fake an injury. Wilmer and Yaz are both getting good starts after struggling all last season. Adames and Wade are both having a rough start.

As a team they look like they're fundamentally sound. No errors yet. Putting the ball in play and getting runners home instead of stranding them.

Absolutely not what I was implying here. He played the first like 60% of the season, and he looked horrible during it. Then he shut the season down and had surgery. I wasnt saying he wasnt hurt, but more so that the injury was the reason he had an abysmal hitting season when he did play. He was probably hurt all year long and tried to gut it out.

If you remember, I was the one that advocated that he needed to play every day and not platoon with Wade. But as the season started progressing and he looked like crap, I backed off that.

I wasn't attacking you. Sorry if you took it that way. I was just pointing out that he was hurt early on and tried to play through it. I should have made that clearer. Wilmer is one of those guys that will never be a star but every team needs.
3-1 is cool

but the splash of water on that is Padres and Dodgers are 5-0 and 6-0 respectfully, lol.

I think that's what we all expected. No way the Giants will beat those two teams unless they hav einjury problems. I'll be okay this season if they make it into the playoffs.

Yes, the Dodgers will all likely win the division and the Ginats have to fight at least 5 other teams (two in their own division, possibly two in the east who will not win the division and one in the central in the same scenario). So far, they are doing well due to initial very strong pitching, but offense has to pick up the slack. Can't rely on Flores' 3 run homers, have to consistently put guys on base and drive them home.

Webb was great last night. Boring game. Good to see Adames hit the ball hard and Ramos looking like last year's Ramos. Defense has been way better than last year. Yaz doesn't seem to want to give up his spot. Wade forgot how to hit.

I hate to jinx the team but the Giants are the only team that hasn't committed an error this season. The other thing is they've been very good at getting runners home instead of stranding them like they did all last year. Pitching solid too. I may not expect them to beat the Dodgers or Padres but I can at least watch this team as long as they play solid baseball.

Casey Schmitt going to be starting at 1B vs LH pitching. I hope he siezes the opportunity. Wade is cooked.

Webb definitely looking like a #1. Great to see the team play clean baseball with good pitching to pull out a win last night where the offense was minimal. Wade off to a slow start at the plate and the same goes for Bailey. Bailey has been drawing some walks but otherwise isn't doing much offensively (did drive in the key run in the 9th to tie the game in the comeback win opening day vs. the Reds, though).
