Oh look Winn still sucks.
can Keaton Winn please f**k off
Heading into the season the Giants starting pitching was being touted by some to be among the best in the league. Unfortunately Snell hasn't been able to get going and they still don't have Ray or Cobb. They're forced to have a bullpen game once a week. If the starters have a couple of bad games during the week then the bullpen gets overworked.
Schmitt got called up and was hot, hit a couple HRs. Then had one bad game with an error. So they sat him for days in favor of s**tty as Fitzgerald who just got optioned. Schmitt gets to play today and promptly gets a hit and scores a run.

Sometimes I just don't understand the decisions the giants make. Especially around younger players.

I thought Spencer looked pretty good yesterday. I'd start him until the others came back.
Ray just pitched 2 innings and struck out 5 in a rehab Saturday in Arizona complex league. Total of 3 innings w/8 Ks...zero walks and one hit...

Hopefully he can gel with Bailey when he makes his debut. Not a fan of Snell calling his own pitches but whatever.
Managers today use stats a lot to decide who to play. They look at pitching match ups and how certain players do against certain types of pitchers. It's way past the righty-lefty matchup. I Don't really like doing it like that. I've always felt that a left handed hitter is just as capable of hitting left handed pitching as a right handed hitter is of hitting right handed pitching. If they don't get the chance to face them often then they'll struggle when they do. Good hitters can hit anyone.
