Left-hander Reggie Crawford has joined Double-A Richmond. Giants execs were blown away by the way he was throwing the ball in Scottsdale recently.

Did you watch yesterday? Did you miss the part where his teammates had to call timeouts to avoid a ball four call in the ninth? He should/could have had 4 pitch clock violations.

I didn't watch but i was listening this AM on the ol KNBR they were discussing. They were talking about not having a proper warm up, did that not play a role?

On the first one. Not the other 3. The first one he went past the warm up clock and that led to the dust up. That was the 8th inning. The other 3 were in the 9th inning.

Pretty embarassing move by Melvin, not getting enough flak for that

Supposedly a pitching coach messed up and he covered for him.

Really bad this team with RISP. Out of the gate this has been one of the biggest issues.

They hit well against hard throwers but the struggle against guys with slow breaking stuff. You're right about RISP. They don't make adjustments and put the ball in play. It looks like they all want to hit a HR. Sometimes that's needed but often just a base hit will do the trick. I don't know if it's the way they're taught or if they just aren't good hitters. They need a couple guys in the lineup like Arraez. He rarely strikes out and can spray the ball all over the field.
