I don't think Zaidi could have done any better than he did. Maybe if one knows all the ins and outs of the negotiations and behind the closed door stuff. The problem this year is not as much as what he didn't do, he no doubt improved the club. The thing is the measuring stick from what he had improved the club to. If you are at the very bottom and you had improved to average, that's a huge improvement but in reality, you are still average. The Giants everyday line up consists mostly of .220-.240 hitters, some closer to .200 than the other way around. I am hopping for the 2010-2014 formula with pitching and D, and the hitting good enough to support it. We'll see. The other problem is NL West in terms of sucking is not even close by any means to 2010-2014 years.

I love seeing the posts about how Bora's clients essentially took a L this offseason. And you see Chapman and Snell there.

patient approach by our front office and end up winning the poker game. I give them props for not folding when the entire fan base was crying about the lack of moves. A to A+ offseason

This is easily an A+ off season unless you believed there was actually a chance Ohtani and Yamamoto would come to the Giants.

At the time the article came out, a D was a fair grade. It was an article, not coming from our mouths anyway.

In spite of the lack of getting a true star, it was a pretty damn good offseason. Still a lot of question marks, but almost as good of an offseason as we could have hoped for.
It was total BS to even put out an off season grade when free agency wasnt close to being finished. It was a stupid article. But in reality, several in here were ripping on Farhan every chance they could regardless of the article.

So talk to the author and not us in here.

Farhan had every reason to be ripped prior to the conclusion of this offseason. I don't know why that's hard for you to acknowledge. He had a very good offseason. Now let's see it all come together.
When will you understand that you wait until the offseason is OVER until you rip the guy. I dont know why thats a hard concept for you. It would be like ripping Lynch right now for not improving the OL before seeing what he does in the draft. The bottom line is the guy did a great job via trades and free agency to make the Giants competitive. They have a MUCH better pitching staff, much improved defense, and I think a better hitting lineup.

Yep. 100% agree. The reality is the team is better now than it was a couple of months ago. Now, we all know its not close to being good enough to win the NL West and beat the Dodgers. Hopefully, it will be good enough for a wild card

reasonably decent playoff chances, and if we get in, Ray and Cobb should be back in the fold, maybe even Beck

If the pitching holds up, maybe.

My "ripping of Farhan" this in the middle of this offseason has more to do with his overall tenure than this specific offseason. I dont know why THAT is a hard concept for you. Even after the offseason he has had, he still needs to earn the benefit of the doubt of being able to build this team up. Good start, but time will tell.

Hopefully it's a lesson learned for next year's free agent class. Dragging some of these deals into spring training was not the smart play.

Thinking Webb gets the opener and Snell may get 4 innings in his start
Lol everyone in here has ripped Farhan, nobody can say they haven't

His move was getting a real manager in here, Melvin, and Melvin's players followed him
I gave Farhan a D+ because I am not a fan of Chapman... i also said it would change if he added more.

The deal with Snell puts it in the As for me for sure. Great deal.
Giants headed back to World Series this year, yea I said it

You changed your offseason grade from D+ to an A just because of Snell? Did you prefer JD Davis over Chapman?
