This is easily an A+ off season unless you believed there was actually a chance Ohtani and Yamamoto would come to the Giants.

At the time the article came out, a D was a fair grade. It was an article, not coming from our mouths anyway.

In spite of the lack of getting a true star, it was a pretty damn good offseason. Still a lot of question marks, but almost as good of an offseason as we could have hoped for.

I take my words back re: the ownership group. Granted they weren't threatened with the luxury tax, and they realized the natives were super restless if they put up the same product of the last two years on the field. Severely loosing on the fan base and the trust in them, possibly for a good while. Regardless, they came through and I command them for that. Giants possibly had the best offseason behind the Dodgers in the entire MLB. They all have to obviously come through, but it showed the commitment and they had legitimately tried. By the way, I am not an optimist and although it is baseball, don't think they will rassle the division from the Dodges. But on paper they are legit contender for one of the wild cards, although they reside in NL West. Regardless, I am eager to watch them and attend the games, no matter how they do (hopefully great and make the playoffs) Hey, I would even much more gladly eat my words with a lot of dry crow on the Dodgers and the division.

Yeah
and you weren't that big of a Trey Lance fan either.

Just because I am/was not a Jimmy G fan doesn't mean I was a big Trey Lance fan. You must be thinking of someone else.
Much happier with the offseason now. They have a good/great rotation and bullpen. Still concerned about the lineup, but what a nice stable of arms.

Feel like they did Renell kind of dirty.

It was total BS to even put out an off season grade when free agency wasnt close to being finished. It was a stupid article. But in reality, several in here were ripping on Farhan every chance they could regardless of the article.
In fairness, everyone in here has ripped on Farhan

It was a nice offseason, and with Melvin this roster should have enough firepower to be a playoff team. But ultimately we could be back to square one again next year. I still think we need to lock up 1 or 2 big time guys longer term to anchor the roster and make us competitive for the foreseeable future. Farhan landed Snell and Chapman because they didn't get the longterm deals Boras wanted.

Ultimately I think Farhan is still on thin ice. If we don't go deep into the postseason this year they will be looking to replace him.
