It also gives us the option to add our young 3B prospects to a trade package for more bats (Soto is the dream)

With how awful the defense was last year, and Melvin's Oakland ties with Chapman, it's the obvious move. Not that he'll be worth the money, but it's something I guess. This f/a class sucks.
