wtf is the point? They better not have given up a top 20 prospect for this

I wouldnt have wanted these guys if they were free. Neither of them are good, and them getting any at bats at all would be at the expense of someone better, and/or someone who need the ABs for development.

Yep. I concur. There is no way that Pollack should play in the OF ahead of Yaz, Slater, Conforto, and Matos. As for DH I would never play him ahead of Joc/Wilmer. Just makes no sense. And Id just as soon as have Wisely as Mathias. Neither are any good. Isnt Estrada due back soon?

Still can't find out what we gave up here, this is from CBS:

"Presumably the caliber of prospect the Mariners get back will depend on how much of Pollock's remaining money they are willing to cover. The 35-year-old outfielder is due back soon from the 10-day injured list and slashed .173/.225/.323 with five home runs in 138 plate appearances for Seattle. He is owed the remainder of a one-year, $7 million deal."

maybe it's the old, cash considerations?
They sent Wisely to the minors then traded for a couple Wisely's
welcome AJ
sorry for forgetting, you are still an active player

Yaz is headed to the IL. My guess is they platoon Sabol and Pollack until he's back.

Great, they called up Diaz. Diaz is worse than Wisely. So f**ked.

Another exciting Farhan move.
  • Thrilling move can't wait to see what PTBNL (if) this is
I figured it out. Clearly the Angels want Pollock in part of an Ohtani package, and they didn't want to trade him in division.
His sprint speeds, are good

says Farhan
Mariners and Giants do this kinda s**t all the time…Giants ain't giving them s**t.
WOW…the last Giant to get a hit with a runner in scoring position was…Pedro Feliz
