I see you trying to make yourself feel less of a fool by including everyone. I said he'd be a yankee but I am optistic because of mutual interest. If that is getting played, cool. But not everyone was optimistic. Some in here gave zero chance he'd be a giant. One poster you like to clown on while acting superior. So it isnt "we all" homie. Even though you keep saying it.

Okay, so you admit you were optimistic on SF signing Judge. And now you want to argue semantics about "we all" vs "most giants fans". Okay man. You win. Enjoy the rest of your day.

I'm really just mad I ignored the ultimate tell - Cashman extension. Should have known better!
Since no Judge, hoping now for Correa and re-signing Rodon as this team needs another quality SP at the top of the rotation IMO.
Haniger signing was the sign we weren't getting judge

Correa will come down to the money so the giants have to pony up. I don't see Rodon here again personally. And the giants will need SP help.

Every single report says it was Hal that closed the deal and Cashman had almost nothing to do with it.

I already picture Boras telling teams Turner whose 30 got 11 years so if you want Correa whose 28 you gotta go 12 at least for 300 plus and Farhan ain't gonna do that s**t

In hindsight maybe, but there were stories that the Giants wanted two outfielders.

Cashman signed an extension during all this. That doesn't happen if he misses judge. Obvious now.

Cashman has been running the Yankees for like 25 years. Why would him staying on be an indicator of signing a player? 🙄

I said it would be the first real black mark on Farhan and boy.... This one hurts. Anyone trying to rationalize is delusional. This is a major fail by Farhan.

This wasn't on Farhan. He made the highest offer. Judge wanted the Yankee legacy. You cant compete with that.

Link?

Reports were that Judge turned down more money to stay in NY, and that the Padres never got to make a formal offer. Tells you the Giants made the bigger offer.

I've heard the Yankees have been trying to reel Rodon in...would be great to get him back but not sure the Giants are willing to go the five or six years that Rodon may want. If not Rodon, maybe Senga? I just really like Rodon and what he did for this team last year from start to finish - there's good chemistry it seems between him and the club and you have a good idea what you're getting as a top of the rotation guy.

Maybe so. But he spent 43 and offered another 350+ to Judge so he should take that 350 and chase some players with it.

or we could claim a player off waivers who once hit .228 with 6 HRs and hope he has a career year. Lol

If we can't land a big hitter, I would like to see Farhan double down on pitching. We need another quality SP and it would be nice to bolster the bullpen with a couple legit arms.

If we can't land a big hitter this offseason the Giants should dust off the old cardboard seat fillers from 2020, because thats the only way they'll fill seats this year.

The timing

It's obvious now that Judge was always staying with NY, and his flirting with the Giants was just an acting job to make the Yankees pay out the most money possible. The Yankees weren't going to replace Cashman if Judge picked SF. That makes no sense.
