Only case against Embiid so far is - already missed 5 games. Voters may see 12+ missed games as too many. Same case with Durant (plus he now has another top 7 player and a top 15-20 player on the roster - that makes it tough to win).

Lebron has the narrative on his side so far and hasn't missed a game. Numbers are still 25 - 7 - 7 in career low minutes.

Kawhi and Clippers are playing great and he wasn't part of that 50pt loss to the Mavs.

Jokic is slowly becoming a favorite to win it all imho. Ridiculous numbers and Denver is starting to win games. If Denver ends up as top 2 seed - Jokic will have a great chance imho - if his numbers hold up.

Durant would have to continue putting up close to historic numbers to be considered. I cant see his numbers staying where they are, but who knows. I like Jokic to win it. Lebron has no business on this list, but I am aware of who I am replying to.

Yea I mean look Lebron is still putting up the numbers, and in a 7 game series where he is giving it 100% he very well may still be the best player in the NBA, but this year he isn't the MVP he is in cruise control barely tries on D for most of the games its not a knock its just where he is in his career.

Raptors are terrible right now so I doubt the Nets take them seriously. Van Vleet about to drop 70

Just chiming in on the NBA MVP...
If Embiid isnt the MVP at the quarter point of the year than something is seriously wrong. My votes would be:

  1. Embiid
  2. Jokic
  3. Gianis
  4. Kawhi
  5. Durant
  6. Lebron
