If Klay (rumors started) come back, he'd be a solid guy off the bench... he / Dubs (I hope) know he's not much more than that anymore
They might need to bring in Kelly Olnyk (another rumor swirling) OR another option at center... someone who won't be banged up or sick every 10 minutes. Bassey is a solid backup, but that's not going to help much when Horford gets hurt and Porzingis' crack cough comes back

Don't know if its going be more hilarious or sad to witness Bob Myers drop nuts and get Jaylen Brown and Bron while his former employer continues to be petrified to make moves…

Maybe both

enjoy it while it lasts Jerry Labob, but I guess with all this AI money coming to the city you won't care anymore about the product on the court

I'm still wondering how he and Draymond got to be friends. After all it was the technical foul that caused Dray to get suspended one game that turned the series around in 2016 when the Cavs were one game down and headed to Oakland.

You mean the guy that did everything to help bring those titles to the Bay Area? He's been a good owner so why dump on him?

What did he do exactly? Hired a strong FO, but then has gradually gotten more involved. Gotten rid of all the players/execs that helped him bring the titles to the Bay Area in order to demonstrate he should get all the credit for it. Has his sons working in FO roles. Iirc Jerry West didn't want to leave but wasn't extended a contract in 2017, and we've been bunz since 2019 (aside from 2022). An owner that thinks only they know which buttons to push is the worst for a team.
This would be like the bulls owner/GM planning for the end of the team, after Jordan came back from his first retirement.
If you can't get superstars, at least try to get some young players who fit the team via FA or some smaller deals. OKC had to get off some players that would fit here. We want to hold onto draft picks and then whiff on picks each time, hoping Yaxel is exception

No organization stays on top forever. I also dont blame Lacob for not trading away first rd picks for the next decade to win now. OKC and San Antonio have the West locked up anyway for a long time. What makes more sense is to try and trade FOR picks, maybe get lucky in the lottery, and be relevant again. You know... like OKC and the Spurs did.

Those teams have strong FOs that don't appear to have an owner meddling into basketball decisions.
it would be like the spurs owner during their championship run, not renewing Pops/Their GM contracts and trying to pick players themselves
from 2011-2019: Lacob gets an A+ from me, since then complete failure. Even Iggy was saying this

trading for more picks make sense if you've shown some sort of draft success or knowledge, they haven't at all, despite high picks and the coaching staff identifying players that fit (Haliburton, Murphy, franz though he went earlier).
Lacob had a good thing going that could have lasted a while, but decided it was time to end things quick for some reason.
"We had a good thing going…" Mike to Walter white quote seems appropriate

JUST IN: The longer Stephen Curry waits to sign a contract extension, the more he's using the possibility of entering free agency to pressure the Warriors into building a true contender. 👀

can't wait
but then again, Lacob is the same guy that wanted to offer Steph less than the max once before
