Golden State Warriors Talk

What a gut punch. The Warriors have been playing really well lately and now this. Just a rough year in the Bay Area. Giants fail to even play .500 ball. The Niners are devasted by injuries. Now the Warriors lose one of their key players. In basketball, losing one key player is like losing 2 or 3 in football.

The Warriors are done for the year and in reality should begin a rebuild. But as long as Steph is playing at a high level they wont do that.

If I was making the call id keep Kuminga now, put him in the starting lineup, and play him 25- 30 minutes a night. He has zero trade value now but the hope would be that he can play well enough to trade him for something good in the off season. Kerr has said that JK doesn't match well with Dray and Jimmy in the lineup. Well, that's no longer a worry.

Having said that, I seriously doubt it happens. More likely is that Kuminga will go along with #1 draft picks to get someone who wont make a difference anyway.
Trade Draymond before the deadline.

Hope Kuminga recovers his value remainder of the season, either decide - he can be a gamechanger and we build around him or we trade him for another asset next offseason / pre-draft.

If Lacob was runnning this org with his brain, not his heart, he would trade steph in the off-season and full-send the rebuild and try to develop this younger core and acquire more building assets.

Ideally, we make a Paul George to the clippers-esque trade where we can get a young SGA-like talent in return + some picks.

Its not going to happen but if I was playing NBA2K, thats what I would do.

Yes, let's trust more picks to this ownership and FO. Lets trade away our generational player, who is still playing at a high level (and appears he will continue to do so next couple of season) to enter a rebuild, because that worked out for dynasties like the bulls. We aren't the Lakers, where superstars will force a trade to (see Lebron).

As long as Curry is on the team and playing the way he is, Lacob is forced to actually try to improve the team. After Curry leaves, the dubs will return to the "Its a Great Time Out" era. There won't be any team culture after Curry/Kerr leave.

Well that's the season. Too bad Kerr hates Kuminga or we could try and reset the season. Not sure we have the capital for a trade that can make up the loss.

We have our 1st round picks, we have enough assets to make a trade. Just depends how the terms and what Lacob wants to do
Goodnight Warriors

Podz receives the torch and becomes "better than Curry"
What do you know. Kerr actually is playing Kuminga a few minutes. Looks good too

I hope this is a sign of good things to come
Captures how I feel

Get used to this again guys

I say we trade Kuminga, Podz, Heild, for picks and expiring contracts and tank, get a top 5 pick which we might get lucky with the lottery like the mavs and take Darryn Peterson from KU, or get a decent pick with cap space and sign free agents or trade picks for Giannis. This season is done with.

Id rather trade Draymond. He is useless at this point much of the time and really an embarrassment. Tonight was a perfect example of that.

They likely will trade JK but the reality is that he is their only young player who is an elite athlete. Id move Draymond, put JK at the 4, and see what he can do the rest of the year.

I don't like Windhorst but I do agree with him most teams are gonna wait until this Giannis situation plays out.
