The Dubs announced plans to retire Durant's number. I wonder if they will still do it after his rejection of a trade offer.

I don't think they should retire his number. He was here 3 years. That's no longer than he's played for other teams. Far less than he played aty OKC. I don't consider hm an all time Warriors great. He was a hired gun.

IMO, feels like lacob likes Durant a lot, so I get it. I'd much rather see Shaun Livingstons Jersey retired before Durant's, but I get it.

Durant not wanting to play with Curry is crazy tho, has not achieved that level of success with anyone else (not harden, prime Westbrook, Kyrie, booker).

You have a chance to run it back at the end of your career, especially after the olympics where you showed you both can still click together, and your "cold" on the idea, assumingely due to Green or Kerr.

They can obviously retire any jersy they want but I think that honor should be reserved for iconic players. Guys that played on the team for several years and were fan favorites. They way big name players jump around now teams will end up with too many retired numbers if they aren't careful.

Without KD Dubs fans have 2 less championships so it makes sense.

Welp that's game, might make a fake comeback but nope

looking forward to Saturday
